Nothing compares to this pretty town of Kaslo. Set on the edge of Kootenay Lake, surrounded in all directions by mountains. Just two blocks long, the downtown core has beautifully restored heritage buildings and a surprising number of excellent services. The area is rich in recreational trails, fishing enthusiasts, skiers of all varieties and cyclists who appreciate the winding scenic roads. Life may be quiet, but it’s active.
