Midway marks the halfway point between the Rocky Mountains and the Pacific Ocean. Close to the international border, it is a natural stopping point and marks Mile 0 of the famed Kettle Valley Railway. Its history of prospecting is evident in the railways, old buildings and trails. A popular cycling route with spectacular bridges over canyons carved into the dry rocky hills, the Kettle Valley trail system attracts many visitors to the Midway area. It’s affordable, yet close to larger centres, and offers a private lifestyle.
