Silverton hosts a tiny population of just 200 residents. The hotel has long been a destination for live music, with folks traveling from Kaslo and Nelson to take in the live-action. There is a boat launch, public park and picnic tables for travellers taking a rest while enjoying the scenic valley drive. Just a few minutes from New Denver, Silverton reminds us to slow down and appreciate times past, when those few kilometres between communities represented a day’s effort, and a world of difference.
